Gurdev S. Gill, M.D.
Dr. Gurdev Gill has been treating knee, hip, and shoulder problems for 30 years in Lubbock, Texas.
Dr. Gill completed his residency at Harlem Hospital, New York, New York in 1975. He was the attending orthopedic surgeon at Harlem Hospital Center at Columbia University, New York in 1975 for 3 months. He began his private practice in Lubbock Texas in 1975. He currently is a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery for Texas Tech University School of Medicine, participates as Active Staff at Covenant Medical Center, Courtesy Staff at University Medical Center.
Dr. Gill has received many awards and performed numerous studies. He is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He is an active member of the following associations: Association for Arthritic Hip & Knee Surgery, Charter Member, and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Western Orthopedic Association, Texas Orthopedic Association, Southern Orthopedic Association, American Medical Association, Lubbock-Crosby-Garza Medical Society, Lubbock Surgical Society, International College of Surgeons, World Medical Association, West Texas Orthopedic Surgical Society, and Founding Member.
He has held numerous positions including Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Methodist Hospital, and President of West Texas Surgical Society (Presently).
To date, Dr. Gill has performed over 11,000 total joint replacement procedures. He developed his own Total Knee, Gills Precision Anatomic Components (GPAC) in the mid 80s.
Dr. Gill was elected to the Consumers' Research Council of Americas 2006 edition of their Guide to American Top Surgeons. He was also eleted as a top physician in orthopedic surgery in the Council's 2004-2005 edition.
Dr. Gill and his family have made Lubbock their home for the last 30 years and raised two children there. Currently during his extra time he enjoys attending Texas Tech football games and playing golf with friends.
Dr. Gill receives the majority of his patients from patient referrals and self-referrals.
